Vistralo and Supademo compared

Supademo records your clicks and turns them into a guided demo: a sequence of steps, each with a note, that a viewer moves through. It can add an AI voice to those steps and export the result as a video. Vistralo starts from a plain recording and gives back a narrated film with no steps to author. Here is where each one is the better fit.

The short version

Choose Supademo when
You want a demo or a how-to guide that people step through at their own speed, embedded in your site or help centre, with analytics and forms. It also offers sandbox and HTML demos, which go well beyond video.
Choose Vistralo when
You want a video, you do not want to write the steps, and the thing you are explaining is a design or a page. You record once and the narration is written from the footage.

What Supademo does better

  • The viewer sets the pace. Someone following a how-to can stay on a step until they have done it. A film keeps playing.
  • More than video. Its HTML and sandbox demos let people use a copy of the product, which no recording can do.
  • Reach. Embeds, trackable links, password or email gates, forms that sync to a CRM and view analytics are all there.
  • Voices. A wide choice of AI voices and the option to clone your own. Vistralo uses the HeyGen voice you pick.
  • Teams. Shared workspaces and comment threads. Vistralo is one person's workspace today.
  • Assurance. Supademo lists SOC 2 Type 2 on its pricing page and single sign-on for enterprises. Vistralo has neither.

Where Vistralo is the simpler tool

A step-by-step demo follows clicks. That suits "press this, then this". It suits a design review less well, where the thing worth explaining is a whole screen and nothing was clicked at all.

Vistralo looks for screens, which it finds wherever the view comes to rest. Scroll down a landing page without clicking anything and it will still stop wherever the scrolling came to rest, and write a line for each of those screens.

If the starting point is a reference site, the Visual brief reads the page's code and names what it is built with.
