What Vistralo is and how to make the first walkthrough.
- What Vistralo makesVistralo turns a recording, a video, screenshots or a website into a narrated walkthrough or a written Visual brief.
- Supported browsersRecord in Chrome or Edge on a computer. Other browsers and phones can watch, share and, in most cases, upload.
- Record your first walkthroughFrom pressing Record to a narrated film with a share link, step by step.
- What the browser will ask you and whyThe share dialog, the sharing bar and the microphone prompt belong to your browser. Here is what each is for.
02
Recording
Choosing what to share, and what the controls do while a take is live.
- Tab, window or whole screenWhich to pick in the browser's share dialog, and how each one behaves once recording starts.
- Recording part of the screenDraw a box over the area you want and everything outside it is left out of the recording.
- Your voice or an AI voiceOne switch, Record my voice, decides whether you narrate or the AI does. Here is what changes with it.
- Pausing and stoppingWhat the recording controls do: the count of three, Pause, Start over, Discard and Stop.
- The floating controlsA small window that stays above your other windows, so you can pause or stop without going back to Vistralo.
- A recording left unsavedIf the tab closed or the upload failed before a recording was saved, a copy is kept in your browser to recover.
- The 1 GB browser limitA recording made in the browser stops when it reaches 1 GB. What is captured up to then is kept.

Bringing material
Starting from a video, a set of screenshots or a website address.
- Narrate a videoUpload a recording you already have and get the same narrated walkthrough from it.
- Narrate screenshotsHow to make a narrated video from a set of screenshots: formats, limits, order and tall captures.
- Analyse a websiteEnter a public address and get a Visual brief: captures of the page and notes on what it is built with.
- What "public pages only" meansThe website reader visits an address as an anonymous visitor. Here is what that rules out.

AI narration
How the script is written and spoken, and what it costs you.
- How the script is writtenWhat Vistralo looks at to write the narration, what it sends to OpenAI, and where the line "likely" comes from.
- Reviewing and approving the scriptWhen Vistralo waits for you to approve a script, when it does not, and how to change the narration afterwards.
- Choosing a voiceNarration uses a default voice unless you give Vistralo the ID of another HeyGen voice.
- Cost capsEvery AI narration job has a spending limit. Who sets it depends on whose keys the job runs on. What the limit covers, and what it cannot promise.
- OpenAI and HeyGen keysPro and Studio include AI narration with no keys. On Free it runs on your own OpenAI and HeyGen keys. How to add keys and how they are kept.
05
Editing
Trimming a recording, working on a Visual brief and getting the files out.
- TrimmingKeep only the parts of a recording you want. Your original is never changed.
