Before you start, open the page or app you want to explain in another tab or window. Pro and Studio include AI narration. On Free, add your own OpenAI and HeyGen keys first if you want it: see OpenAI and HeyGen keys.
- Press "Record" at the top of the sidebar. The first time, this records an AI walkthrough. After that it repeats whichever kind you used last.
- Your browser asks what to share. Choose a tab, a window or the whole screen and confirm. See What the browser will ask you and why.
- If you chose a whole tab, Vistralo switches to it and counts down from three. For a window or a screen you first see "Set up your recording". Press "Start recording" there.
- Click through what you want to explain. Rest for a moment on each screen that matters. Those pauses are where the walkthrough will stop.
- Press "Stop". The recording is saved and uploaded, and its project opens.
- The project offers a share link straight away. If narration is running, the link plays your recording until the narrated film is ready and plays that from then on.
While it is being narrated
The project shows the stage it has reached: "Watching recording", "Finding every screen", "Writing narration", "Generating voice", "Attaching voice", "Saving walkthrough". This takes minutes. You can close the tab and come back.
If you would rather talk
Turn on "Record my voice" before you start. Your microphone becomes the sound of the recording and no AI narration is started. See Your voice or an AI voice.
