Narrate screenshots

How to make a narrated video from a set of screenshots: formats, limits, order and tall captures.

Choose "Narrate screenshots" from the plus button beside Record. With that menu open, the I key picks it.

What you can add

  • PNG, JPEG or WebP images.
  • Up to 36 in one walkthrough.
  • Up to 25 MB each.

Adding the same file twice is ignored. Each thumbnail has a button to remove it.

The order

The images play in file-name order, and numbers in names are read as numbers, so "2" comes before "10". Name the files in the order you want them explained before you add them.

Tall captures

A full-page capture is much taller than a screen. Vistralo reads one of those a screen at a time from the top, up to six screens per image, with a short scroll between them. Each of those screens gets its own line.

Building the video

The images are turned into a video in your browser. You see "Turning screenshots into a walkthrough video" with a percentage. Keep the tab open while it runs. "Stop" cancels it. This step works in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

After that

The video is uploaded and, in a cloud workspace, AI narration starts. If you did not type a name, the project is named for the number of screenshots and the date.

In the demo the screenshots are saved as a video you can play and download, without narration.
