Delete a project
Deleting happens in two steps, so that a slip can be undone.
- Choose "Delete" from a project's menu. It moves to Trash. A message offers "Undo" for a few seconds.
- Open "Trash" in the sidebar. A project there can be brought back with "Restore".
- To remove it for good, choose "Delete permanently". The app asks: "Permanently delete projects?" and warns "This cannot be undone."
Permanent deletion removes the project and its files: the recording, the film, the audio and the brief.
Moving a project to Trash also revokes its share links.
Trash is not emptied for you
Projects stay in Trash until you delete them permanently. They do not count towards your plan's project limit while they are there.
A recording kept in your browser
An unsaved recording is held in the browser. Open a recording form and choose "Discard" to delete it. See A recording left unsaved.
Your own OpenAI and HeyGen keys
If you saved keys of your own, replace a key in Settings, under "AI narration", and revoke the old one in the provider's dashboard.
Your whole account
There is no button for this yet. Write to contact@vistralo.com from the address you sign in with and ask for the account to be closed and its content deleted.
What we cannot delete
Copies outside Vistralo: a video someone downloaded from a share link, and whatever OpenAI and HeyGen keep of what was sent to them for narration.
The demo
Demo projects live in your browser. "Reset demo workspace" in the workspace menu removes your changes and restores the sample projects.
